Walking in Maggie’s Shoes

Maggie didn’t like to wear shoes. At least, not her own. If there was a pair of shoes to be found that weren’t hers, she was in them.

One day, God was counting the angels and found one missing. It was Maggie, come to earth to see what it was like to be human. She had come to play and bless everyone she met with unconditional love and joy. She found the shoes of others and walked right into their hearts. Each and every day, she lit up the world around her, a crystal child radiating the love of God. She is an angel who paid us a short visit to teach us all how to be children of God. We need angels in our lives. She showed us how to be each other’s angels. She showed us how to walk in the shoes of others. Walking in beauty. Walking in grace. Walking in a sacred manner. Walking our way back to the Creator.

Then Maggie was called home, back to heaven to take her place as a twinkle in the eye of God. It is our turn to walk now. It is our turn to walk in Maggie’s shoes and bless those around us with unconditional love and joy. Maggie’s visit was a precious lesson, a priceless gift. A spontaneous hug, an instant smile. She is smiling at us now, giggling with glee, lighting the way. Let us walk in beauty. Let us walk in a sacred manner. Let us walk in Maggie’s shoes.

We love you Maggie Moo- Phill
